2-3 clicks below the "200" yard range marking - use this to establish a working 100 yd zero. Mk 2 "L" Flip sight - marked for 300 and 600 yard ranges - applied to mid-war rifles from most factories as a cheap expedient - often changed in service for the next highest available precision / complexity sight as they became available. Mk3 fabricated rear sight assemblies and components are available - coming soon in the listing or ask for current stock. As indicated, marked F for Fazakerley, B for BSA, P for Poole Arsenals, N67 for Singer, CA / LB for Canadian Arsenals / Longbranch.
Singer were the design originator of this sight type and produced the first units in the war - early, desirable and rare! The No4 Rifle and No 5 Carbine Adjusters Screws are different - different pitches of thread to deliver 2 MOA clicks on the different sight radiuses of each example. Shorter total threaded length on the carbine screws also.Screws come complete with their corresponding threaded nut - universal fit into the hole in the cursor. Clickers featured a spring and plunger - or ball as available - I supply 2 balls in one order because "boing whizzz" happens. Spring and plungers / balls should be assembled with graphite grease - helps them "stick" during assembly giving you a chance!
Lock pins act on a groove on the adjuster screw shaft but still allow it to rotate and act on the trapped clicker assembly - have fun and be patient! I offer rebuilt sights as listed - stripped down to base components, inspected for fit and finish, reassembled with graphite grease and tested to function as it should. Please feel free to ask any questions and check out my other Lee Enfield and Parker Hale listings.
